The shunts are available in two configurations (flat bottom and burr hole) with varying pressure ranges.
The Essential Shunt Kit Flat Bottom Design, can be used in (but is not restricted to) situations where skin erosion may be a problem. The Essential Shunt Kit Burr Hole allows to accomodate surgical preferences. Valve and catheters contains barium sulfate. No metal part used in the system eliminating possibility of interference with imaging technology. The implantation is simplified by eliminating connections.
